The grandson of Aberdeen's first chief constable, William Anderson, has travelled to Scotland from Kent to find out more about his famous grandfather. 71 year old Peter Anderson contacted the force to try to find out more about his famous grandfather, who died whilst he was still young, and was shown artefacts concerning him, in addition to meeting many current senior officers in the force. Chief Constable Anderson was the first to introduce a woman police officer to the force, and the first to place beat constables on the street.
