Videos from the Addressing History project's lanch day in Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago are now online at www.youtube.com/user/AddressingHistory.
I attended the day's events and my summary of the proceedings is at http://scottishancestry.blogspot.com/2010/11/addressing-history-launch-report.html. Of particular interest to most genealogists will be the lecture by Ines Mayfarth on the NLS Post Office Directories digitisation and indexing project for the Internet Archive, and Nicola Osborne's and Stuart MacDonald's presentation on Addressing History itself, but there are also useful presentations on the NLS georeferncing project and the Tobar an Duachais/Kist o' Riches audio digitisation project.
(With thanks to Nicola Osborne)
