Today saw the last of the 250 Australian and British soldiers to be reinterred at the new purpose built Fromelles Military Cemetery. The soldiers lost their lives 94 years ago in an action constructed as a diversionary tactic during the Battle of the Somme and were only recently discovered through an archaeological excavation of several hastily dug burial pits which contained their remains.
The BBC has a report on the dedication ceremony at www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-10679715.
