The Scotsman newspaper has run an article to tie in with the Queen's visit today to the new and as yet unopened ScotlandsPeople Centre, in which journalist Fiona MacLeod has confirmed that the centre will be offering free two hour taster session to the public as of 25th August, the date previously reported on this blog as being the likely rescheduled opening to the public (see Royal opening for ScotlandsPeople Centre) .
The Scotsman article (obviously written prior to the Queen's visit, as it states she visited the centre on Wednesday, and not today!), is online and entitled How a simple search made strangers from the past come alive
The Herald has also featured the new centre in an article entitled Getting to the root of family trees.
The Edinburgh Evening News has some basic coverage of the Queen's visit to the city at Hundreds see Queen open campus, though concentrates its coverage on her other engagement today, the opening of the Queen Margaret University Campus in Musselburgh.
