A tartan in honour of Charles Rennie Mackintosh has been registered with the Scottish Register of Tartans. From the register entry:
Designed by an ex-student of the Glasgow School of Art who has been involved in many Mackintosh related projects. The designer wished to produce a design for the Year of Homecoming based on Mackintosh's tile motifs and this has been re-interpreted so that it can also be produced as a tartan. In particular, the design echoes Mackintosh's nine square motif.
The tartan may only be woven with the authorisation of the designer, Charles Randak.
