Various Highland presbytery and kirk session records from the presbyteries of Inverness, Ross, Sutherland, Lochcarron-Skye and Abernethy are are to return north to Inverness to be housed in the new part-Lottery funded Highland Archive Centre at Bught, upon its completion.
Other documents to be housed at the centre will include papers relating to the Clearances (na Fuadaichean) and papers pre-Culloden, as well as the Highland photogrpahic archive, containing some 150,000 images.
