The National Archives in England has uploaded a series of animated guides to help users understand the workings of the facility. Useful topics include How the Records are Arranged, The Life of a Document, Using the Catalogue, Ordering Documents, Preparing to Research, and Recording Research Results. Each guide requires Flash Player 8.0 to be viewed, though transcripts can also be downloaded as PDF files.
The guides are available to view at www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/gettingstarted/understand-the-archive/default.htm.
