New search fields on FreeCEN

From FreeUKGenealogy via Instagram, news about new search fields on its volunteer based FreeCEN site (www.freecen.org.uk):

New Feature Alert: FreeCEN now has filters you can use to refine your search of our census records. Filters by: Marital Status, Language, Sex, Occupation & Disability. Search now: www.freecen.org.uk

The FreeCEN site is also carrying this request:

Birth Place

We are developing the birth place search feature. We would be grateful if you could spare 10 minutes to fill in our Birth Place survey — this will take you to a new tab/page, so you can come back to this tab/page to complete your search.

The survye is at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfer2YMg9zRYO_J_9JjdAWYTLsugKVDWlQ7QgZud8sVrDpE4g/viewform.

Comment: For Scottish research, FreeCEN is particularly useful for the earlier Scottish censuses from 1841-1861. (English and Welsh censuses are also included; Irish censuses are not)
