I caught up with Jeanette Rosenberg of the Jewish genealogical Society of Great Britain, to talk about her new Gorbals Jewish school children database (the result of a project at the University of Strathclyde) which names some 10,000 children from the turn of the 19th / 20th centuries.
The database entries can be accessed at www.jewishgen.org/databases/UK (use search facility on right hand side of page and choose Glasgow as the community)
