Karen Nichols of Scotia Heritage has announced that she is now running the Charles McKean Tour in Dundee, based on previous architectural tours established by Professor Charles McKean of the University of Dundee. From Karen's site:
"This two hour in-depth exploration of closes and forgotten streets of what was the second city of Scotland before 1674 derives from Prof. McKean's discovery of original material.
"The visit focuses upon the ancient city centre, starting at the town walls (DCA), passing via the glorious Renaissance graveyard ‘The Howff,’ to the exploration of the Baltic Maritime Quarter, and a visit inside Dundee's only restored medieval complex facing the High Street, Gardyne's Land.
"Scotia Heritage remains true to the spirit of the original tour to bring alive the vibrancy and diversity that was Dundee before the clearances and improvements of later generations."
