National Archives at Kew suspends bookings

Following news from the Westminster Government that England is to go into a four week coronavirus lockdown from next week, the National Archives at Kew has announced that it has suspended bookings. The bookings page simply states the following:

Update: reading room bookings temporarily suspended

In response to the PM’s statement on Saturday evening, our next round of bookings will not go live on Monday 2 November while we seek clarification about the services we can offer. We’ll provide an update as soon as we can.

If planning a visit to Kew, please keep an eye out for further guidance at https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/about/news/coronavirus-update/ or via TNA's Twitter feed at @UKNatArchives.
