Saint Patrick's Day parades in Ireland cancelled

A major bit of news if you were planning to go to Ireland to see a Saint Patrick's Day parade this year - they have all been cancelled, in a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

There is no news as yet of similar events in Northern Ireland being cancelled, but it's not a big island, and it seems a matter of if rather than when for the north.

Update: Belfast City Council voted on Monday evening that its parade should also be cancelled.
